Jack Grealish has just made a big decision on his Manchester City future

Jack Grealish’s Manchester City career looks like it is coming to an end.

The winger joined Pep Guardiola’s squad during the summer of 2021 as part of a massive £100m deal with Aston Villa; however, the Englishman has not lived up to that price tag, with the 2022/23 campaign being the only season the 29-year-old performed well.

The past year has probably been his worst in a Man City shirt, with Michael Owen revealing that Guardiola has wanted to get rid of Grealish for months, and this summer looks like it might be the end of the road for the former Villa star at the Etihad Stadium.

Grealish is set to be left out of Man City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup. Following this decision, the winger has now made up his mind on his future.

Jack Grealish is ready to leave Manchester City

With the FIFA World Cup taking place next summer, Grealish will need to be playing if he is to have any hope of being included in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.

Knowing this, Grealish has now accepted that his Man City career is over and expects to leave the club ahead of the 2025/26 season, reports talkSPORT.

It was reported this week that Napoli are showing interest in Grealish, and according to the latest update, the Serie A champions are certainly one of the clubs the winger could join over the coming weeks.

Gary Neville has encouraged Grealish to move abroad as it would keep the 29-year-old out of the English media’s headlights for the most part.

AC Milan are also in the race for the Man City star, and Aaron Lennon is one man who would love to see the winger leave the Etihad Stadium, as the pundit believes his move to Manchester has changed him as a player.

Aaron Lennon has not been impressed with Jack Grealish at Man City

Upon hearing this news, Lennon commented on Grealish’s situation at Man City, stating that the winger is not the player he has wanted to see since moving to Manchester.

“I said I played against him (Grealish) at times when he was at Villa, and I remember thinking, like I said, he was unplayable at times,” Lennon told talkSPORT.

“He had everything, whether he was playing in the ten or off the left, he was sort of, and he could do everything. He could go past you, he was strong, he could see a pass.

“And you felt like he’s gone to City, and don’t get me wrong, he’s been very successful. He’s won everything. But you just felt like he was coming inside a lot and laying it off, whether that’s coached or whether the manager is asking for that, who knows, or maybe he’s lost a little bit of confidence.

Jack Grealish’s career at Man City

“But for me, I’m not seeing the player that I’d like to see. So, for me, Jack is one of the best, and I don’t think we’re seeing that in the City shirt, especially not recently.

“He’s not had the minutes. Which is also tough as a player, especially someone like Jack, who should be playing week in, week out. He’s coming off the bench here and there. It’s so difficult when you’re playing out wide to come on and just affect games all the time.”

Only time will tell what will happen in Grealish’s career, but it seems that everyone in the football world agrees that his time at Man City has come to an end.
