Manchester United are looking for a rapid opening 10 days of the summer transfer window this month.
Ineos is putting all its efforts into backing Ruben Amorim this summer.
This was made evident as Manchester United agreed to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves, paying the £62.5m release clause over three seasons, including an initial payment worth roughly £20.8m.
By signing arguably the ‘best of the rest’ player in the Premier League, there is less of a risk, while Gary Neville has anticipated Cunha having a huge impact.
Adding the Brazilian to a struggling offence might finally help solve the issue, which has been goal scoring at Old Trafford. Being incredibly versatile, United can line up several ways with Cunha in the team, with Ineos’ next goal being to add to the attack further.
Bryan Mbeumo is increasingly likely, but United are missing out on one superb talent in the process.

Manchester City closing in on Rayan Cherki signing
Like Cunha, Mbeumo is one of the Premier League’s best, which makes it an impressive pick-up. However, with potentially five attacking sales expected, further additions are required.
This makes Manchester City’s signing of Rayan Cherki frustrating, as his ability is second to none on his day, and he will only continue to get better.

An absolute bargain for a player of his ability level.
Manchester United should have made Cherki move
Make no mistake, Mbeumo as of right now is the better player, having done it against better opposition for longer periods, while also offering more off the ball, which is what Amorim demands.
However, with Cherki being so talented and having the ceiling to be a world beater, £25m is a price too good to ignore, and Ineos should have been looking to complete this alongside Mbeumo.
Cherki had an excellent France debut in which he scored a spectacular goal, which will only further hammer home the point that any club that passed on the 21-year-old because of his attitude might end up looking very silly.
United could be among those to regret the decision to ultimately not progress with a move.
Cherki would have complemented Matheus Cunha
While Cunha and Mbeumo form arguably a top two pairing in the league, having Cherki to use alongside either would be an unstoppable move by United.
Cherki’s creativity would have complemented Cunha’s goal scoring, and together the duo would have tallied up countless goals.
Having Cherki would also make it easier for a number nine like Viktor Gyokeres, as he would be benefiting from a pure creator.
It is hard to find reasons to complain about Cunha and Mbeumo, but this is one transfer that is annoying to miss out on.
