Inter Milan are in the market for a new striker and have identified Rasmus Hojlund as a target.
After a turbulent season for Manchester United, Ineos are expected to make changes by selling members of the first team.
United already announced the departures of three players, including Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen, while Jonny Evans has hung up his boots.
Matheus Cunha has joined United from Wolves, and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo could join him if talks progress in the coming days.
It remains to be seen which striker United will sign, especially after Rasmus Hojlund struggled yet again to lead the line, scoring only 10 goals across all competitions for the Red Devils.
Hojlund’s form has led to speculation over his future at Old Trafford.

Manchester United set asking price for Rasmus Hojlund
Despite struggling in the Premier League, Hojlund still has a strong reputation among Italian clubs from his time at Atalanta.
Hojlund enjoyed his breakthrough in Serie A before joining United in 2023.

Now, with his future in doubt, Inter Milan are considering a swoop for Hojlund, who cost United £72 million.
The 22-year-old had an encouraging debut campaign, but the Denmark centre-forward struggled to perform last season and is one of those players United could cash in on if a suitable offer is made.
According to The Telegraph, Inter Milan have learned that it will take around £38-42 million to persuade United to part ways with the striker.
It is understood that the Serie A giants would favour a loan move initially with an option or obligation to buy, but United may insist on a permanent deal as they look to raise cash to reinvest in Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Inter are set to appoint Cristian Chivu as their new manager to replace Simone Inzaghi, who they regrettably lost to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
United captain Bruno Fernandes turned down a move to Al-Hilal last week.
Man Utd willing to accept loss on Hojlund
United have their hands tied when it comes to a lot of players who could depart this summer.
Like Antony, United are not in a position where they can demand money that would see them profit on either player because of how they’ve performed since moving to Old Trafford.
Antony rejuvenated his career when he left United to join Real Betis on loan. It remains to be seen where the Brazilian will end up this summer, though he looks certain to leave once the right offer arises.
As for Hojlund, it’s anyone’s guess where he will be next season.
