Liverpool have approached Stuttgart over striker Nick Woltemade’s availability this summer, CaughtOffside has reported.
The Premier League winners have reportedly held recent talks over a potential move for the ‘exceptional’ Bundesliga striker, who has no shortage of suitors across Europe following his breakout season.
A host of top clubs hold Woltemade in high regard, including Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Roma, and there is a belief he could move for around €50m (£42m) this summer.
Several suitors are believed to have contacted Stuttgart to gather information on the 23-year-old’s situation, including Liverpool, who remain on the lookout for a new number nine.

According to CaughtOffside, it remains to be seen whether Woltemade will become a priority for Liverpool this summer, as Arne Slot’s side have other options on their striker shortlist as well.
The Reds have been linked with an ambitious move for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, while they also hold a strong interest in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike.
Woltemade, praised as 'a two-metre-tall Lionel Messi', has enjoyed an impressive season with Stuttgart, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
The 23-year-old, who joined last summer from Werder Bremen, has emerged as a key player for the Bundesliga club, who are now eyeing a hefty profit after signing Woltemade on a free transfer just 12 months ago.
Liverpool have announced Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong as their first summer arrival and are now chasing two more statement deals.
The Reds are in advanced talks to sign Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez and have submitted a club-record £109m bid for Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who was once also compared to Messi by his former coach Xabi Alonso.
