Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal has shown his support for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford amid interest from the Catalans in him this summer.

Rashford is almost certain to leave United during the summer transfer window having fallen out with manager Ruben Amorim last year. In the winter transfer window, Rashford swiftly agreed a deal to move to Aston Villa on loan after it became apparent that a route to Barcelona was closed off.

Villa agreed to a £40m option to buy for Rashford at the end of the season but MEN Sport understands the West Midlands club do not hold first refusal for the winger. This increased speculation that a move to Barca could be possible, a theory which only intensified when the Catalan club's sporting director Deco spoke publicly about being interested in Rashford.

Since then, the rumours surrounding Rashford's imminent departure to Barcelona have died down with the La Liga giants currently focusing on their contracted players before looking at new additions. In the meantime, Rashford has been showcasing evidence on social media of his pre-season efforts to be fit for the new campaign.

In his latest Instagram post, Rashford can be seen in Cannes, France going through his rehabilitation routine. The video is captioned: "Everyday hussle," and was liked by Yamal.

The 17-year-old is seen as the heir to Lionel Messi at Barcelona and he has already become a key player not only for his club but his country too. Yamal scored twice on Thursday night as Spain defeated France 5-4 in the Nations League semi-finals.

His performances this season have led to calls that he should win the Ballon d'Or. However, PSG's Ousmane Dembele could be in the driving seat having won the Champions League.

Yamal and Rashford have previously interacted on social media with the United man describing the teenager as the 'Young King' after he scored against Real Madrid in El Clasico.
