Christian Eriksen has admitted that one “exceptional” first-team Manchester United teammate superbly “handled” a key change that was made at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old Manchester United and Denmark midfielder has played his final season at Old Trafford and the ex-Ajax ace will leave the club this summer.
Christian Eriksen featured in 35 matches for the Red Devils in the 2024-25 campaign and the Danish player netted five times and registered six assists for the Red Devils.
The United star’s appearances were sporadic last season and Eriksen has fallen down the pecking order in the United first team under manager Ruben Amorim.
Eriksen will be out of contract with United on 30th June and the former Tottenham and Inter Milan midfielder will become a free agent in the summer window.
The Denmark international has made 108 appearances for United since he signed in 2022 and has lifted a League Cup and an FA Cup during his time at Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen spotted one key change in Bruno Fernandes even before Ruben Amorim’s arrival as Man Utd manager
Bruno Fernandes enjoyed another superb season at Manchester United, despite the Red Devils’ overall disappointing 2024-25 campaign at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old netted 19 times and picked up 19 assists in the 57 matches that he played for the Premier League club across all competitions last season.
Bruno Fernandes’ influence and impact for United last season led to the Portuguese midfielder lifting the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a fourth time.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, Christian Eriksen admitted that the Portugal international only saw his “influence” expand with the United captaincy.
“I think Bruno’s influence, ever since I’ve been at the club, has been massive,” he said.
“He’s only grown with that influence by taking the captaincy as well. It gave him a bit extra to focus on than he had before, but he’s handled it as a man, for the club and for the team.
“He’s an exceptional player. I think Bruno is a leader [through] his commitment on the pitch.
“You lean on to him, and he’s also the guy that, if you’re in any trouble, you pass the ball to him and he will try to help the team or do what he can.”

Christian Eriksen dropped his clear-cut assessment of Bruno Fernandes’ Man Utd captaincy at Old Trafford
Bruno Fernandes ascended to the status of United skipper under ex-Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag after Harry Maguire was stripped of the captain’s armband in 2023.
Erik ten Hag was sacked as United manager last October and current Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim kept Fernandes in his role as club captain.
Eriksen, who will become a free agent on 1st July, admitted that Fernandes has shown his quality as a captain with his impact on the pitch for United.
“He is a leader on the pitch; he’s the one who makes everything tick for us,” he continued.
“He’s always available, he’s always fit, he’s always really into it, he always wants to win.
“That goes on to everyone else who is trying to follow up and do something similar.”
Eriksen first arrived at Old Trafford under former United manager Ten Hag on a free transfer after the Red Devils midfielder left Premier League side Brentford in 2022.
