Manchester United are and have been in the hunt for a large pool of strikers over the last few weeks with United looking to strengthen their striker base following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
This hunt was kickstarted following the announcement of Matheus Cunha as Manchester United’s first summer signing.
The Red Devils have also been in the hunt for Bryan Mbuemo, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres with each of these targets targeted because of their good experience and immense skills on the field.
However, with Victor Osimhen now looking to not be heading to Old Trafford and with Viktor Gyokeres attracting interest from several Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal, United are now turning their heads towards other targets.
This comes in a time where Ruben Amorim is aiming to construct a squad that is able to climb back up the Premier League table towards the European places whilst also actively competing in both the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
David Targets Old Trafford Move
Today, Lille striker Jonathan David has been reported to be wanting to join Manchester United this season.
However, United have not made any approach to sign the striker instead directing their attention towards the completing of their latest deal with Brentford attacker Bryan Mbuemo.
David has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season with one of the highest goal-scoring rates across the continent.
However, he looks set to leave Lille following the expiration of his contract.
A move with Napoli was reported to be on the cards although the striker has other clubs on his mind such as Barcelona, Manchester United and current European champions PSG.
With this move potentially adding talent and skill to the Red Devil’s frontline, would you like to see David on the hallowed Old Trafford turf?
