A change was made to coach Sean McDermott's roster Friday ahead of mandatory minicamp next week.
The Buffalo Bills signed second-year defensive tackle Marcus Harris and, to make room for the 2024 seventh-round draft pick, they cut undrafted rookie defensive tackle Devin Brandt-Epps.
Harris, 24, played college football at Kansas and Auburn before he was chosen with the 247th pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Listed at 6-foot-2, 298 pounds, Harrison totaled 125 tackles, 31 for a loss, and 11 sacks with two forced fumbles. Harris was named first-team all-SEC during his final season at Auburn, where he was adept against the run. He did not make the Texans' 53-man roster out of training camp as a rookie, though he had six tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass defended in four preseason games.
The Texans signed Harris to their practice squad, then he was released seven weeks later and caught on with the New England Patriots as a member of their practice squad. He remained with the team until he was cut following the NFL draft in April.
