Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes in this transfer window.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed his fitness record ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Barnes played 33 Premier League games this past season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.

Aston Villa may want to take a look at Barnes’ recurring hamstring injuries
While Barnes should be clearing his medical this summer, the Birmingham outfit would want to look at his hamstring issues, according to Dr Brar.
It has been a recurrence for him and Villa would not want to bring in a player who’s got a higher risk of injury.
This comes as Aston Villa have been linked with Barnes this summer. (Daily Mail, 8 May)

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Villa may take a closer look at his recurring hamstring injuries.
“He missed a few games because of it this season as well.
“*However, I do not see it causing issues with his medical if he is to move this summer.*“

Unai Emery can ensure Barnes becomes a key attacker in his system
Unai Emery can surely get the best out of Barnes if Aston Villa are to sign him in the coming weeks.
With Marcus Rashford returning to Manchester United post his loan spell, the Spaniard is a wide attacker short.
Also, it is unclear if Marco Asensio will join permanently and Morgan Rogers is now subject to transfer interest from Arsenal.
Jamie Carragher is a big admirer of Barnes and his characterisation of the attacker is precisely what Emery would want from his forwards.
“Whenever he comes on, he is a huge goal threat,” Carragher said on Sky Sports on 10 November.
“More space opens up for you as a substitute. Anthony Gordon is probably looking at that and thinking, I have worn the full-back out and then you come on and get the rewards. But whenever he is running through in that position, Harvey Barnes, I always fancy him to score.”
It remains to be seen if Villa do end up making a bid for the 27-year-old in this window.
