NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - In this edition of FFF: A lot of teams haven’t won a Super Bowl, Lamine Yamal is a soccer phenom as a teenager, and a visit to Emeril Lagasse’s Portuguese restaurant, 34.
FOOTBALL
There’s 12 NFL teams that have yet to win a Super Bowl: Bills, Lions, Vikings, Bengals, Texans, Chargers, Cardinals, Falcons, Jaguars, Panthers, Titans, and Browns.
The Browns, no surprise there. Cleveland, Detroit, Jacksonville, and Houston haven’t even played in the “Big Game.”
So will one of these teams finally raise the Lombardi Trophy. I think there’s a great chance, and it’s the Buffalo Bills.
I think they’ll host every round of the playoffs this year, with the Chiefs starting to go backwards.
Josh Allen will become the best quarterback in the NFL, and he has the weapons around him to get it done.
The Lions missed their window. Losing both coordinators will be tough to replace.
So Buffalo wings for everyone next February.
FÚTBOL
Lamine Yamal is the best player in world soccer, and he’s only 17 years old.
The teenager who plays his club ball at Barcelona, netted two goals in Spain’s win over France, 5-4, in the Nations League semi-finals.
Yamal has won five major trophies by the age of 17. That includes two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona, and the EURO 2024 title with Spain.
FOOD
First off, it’s very rare for me to eat octopus, but at 34 Restaurant and Bar I couldn’t resist. Cooked with white sweet potato and red wine, my oh my it was divine.
34 is Emeril Lagasse’s first restaurant dedicated to the cuisine of his Portuguese heritage. He was inspired by his late mother, Hilda. 34 is an expansive space on Baronne St.
If you’re not adventurous as I was, some other options on the menu are: “The Prego” (Portuguese steak sandwich, Spanish chorizo, honey), the pork and clams, carrots cooked in citrus and pine nut cream, and the jamón ibérico (Spanish ham).
34 recently announced it’s summer hours:

• Wednesday – Sunday 4pm –6pm

I highly recommend stopping into 34 this summer. Be prepared to eat a ton of jamón ibérico, just like I did.
