The [Buffalo Bills](https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/) made a roster move ahead of their mandatory minicamp next week.
On Friday, the team announced that they had signed defensive tackle Marcus Harris. Harris, 24, was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 draft by the Houston Texans (No. 247 overall). He spent a little over one month on the Texans’ practice squad before being released by the team. Harris would be signed to the New England Patriots’ practice squad two days later. At the end of his rookie season, the Patriots signed Harris to a reserve/future contract; however, he was released by the team in late April of this spring.
Before entering the league, Harris spent two seasons at Kansas (2019-2020) and three years at Auburn (2021-2023). Harris was named second-team All-SEC in 2023 after he recorded 40 total tackles (12 tackles for loss) and 7.5 sacks.
Harris is listed at 6-feet-2-inches tall and 298 pounds. The defensive tackle joins a Bills roster that is loaded with talent at the position. Buffalo’s current roster at the position includes Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, T.J. Sanders, Deone Walker, DeWayne Carter, Larry Ogunjobi, Zion Logue and Casey Rogers.
To make room for Harris, the team released defensive tackle Devin Brandt-Epps. Buffalo signed Brandt-Epps following the 2025 NFL Draft. The defensive tackle played three seasons at Old Dominion, one at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and one at New Mexico.
