All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they continue their search for transfer deals.

Arsenal are now busy attempting to strengthen their squad ahead of what they hope will finally be a title-winning season. The Gunners need to add a striker, a winger and plenty of depth to improve on last season, paying the price for a lack of true depth last season when injuries plagued Mikel Arteta’s men.

The Gunners are yet to spring into action despite the early window being open, with much of their spending likely to take place in the usual window, or indeed before it. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Kepa latest

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on Arsenal’s reported pursuit of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. It emerged on Friday that the Gunners were showing interest in signing Kepa as their new back-up keeper. The experienced Spaniard would be replacing Neto who returned to AFC Bournemouth after his season-long loan deal.

Romano told GiveMeSport: “Yes (it’s possible), it's not a done deal but an option. He has a £5million release clause and Arsenal asked for salary conditions.” Kepa once cost around £71million but his stock has dropped significantly since then. Although, the Spaniard did enjoy a solid season with Bournemouth last season, making 31 league appearances and only conceding 38 goals.

Sesko update

Romano has also provided an update on Arsenal’s bid to land Benjamin Sesko. Sesko is reported to be the Gunners’ prime striker target this summer, but it doesn’t seem as though a deal is anywhere close.

Romano told Caught Offside: “Arsenal have been speaking directly to the club and also with the player’s camp, so Arsenal are working on the Benjamin Sesko deal. Still, at the moment while I’m recording this video, there is still no agreement with the player or the club, so there is plenty of work to do before saying Sesko is going to Arsenal. But, the conversation is underway, the conversation is ongoing, and then Arsenal also have more options.”

Viktor Gyokeres is believed to be Arsenal’s main other target, but he too will be a pricey signing with Sporting CP hoping to cash in on their superstar frontman. Arsenal are likely continue with their Sesko pursuit for now, and they do have plenty of time to work with.

Nwaneri concern

Bailey told TBR: “As we have revealed in recent weeks, there is real worry at Arsenal about Nwaneri. He grew concerned about his game time, and the five-year deal on the table has remained unsigned. Work to be done on that one. A lot of work”

Arsenal won’t be overly concerned about Nwaneri because he is not likely to push for a move from the Gunners any time soon, but there will be clubs keeping an eye on the situation in case the two sides come up significantly short of each other’s expectations during the talks.
