It has already been a long summer for Liverpool - who have been involved in three transfer sagas.

The only saga resolved out of three has seen Trent Alexander-Arnold wave an emotional goodbye to the Reds as he moved to Real Madrid with his contract up at the end of the move.

However, despite winning the Premier League, Arne Slot has wasted no time in looking for new stars to add to his team. Florian Wirtz looks set to join former team-mate Jeremie Frimpong on the banks of the River Mersey.

While Milos Kerkez's move to Liverpool also appears to have hit the rocks as Bournemouth hold out for a higher fee.

And Daily Star Sporthas rounded up the latest transfer dealings from Anfield over the past 24 hours.

Florian Wirtz's possible record-shattering transfer to Premier League champions Liverpool could be derailed by legal issues.

Cologne's chief Werner Wolf has vowed to explore every possible legal procedure to secure a sum of money they believe they are due. "Of course, we are looking into it. We know what we are entitled to and will fight for it," he said Radio Cologne. "We're looking at this with both eyes.

"We'll benefit from it. The higher the sum Liverpool is willing to pay, the better for us." Under FIFA rules, clubs that play a part in nurturing a player from the age of 12 to 23 get a cut of the transfer fee, a snazzy 5% as 'training compensation'.

Liverpool's bid to swiftly secure a deal for Milos Kerkez is reportedly on the rocks as Bournemouth hold their ground on the left-back's price tag.

Bournemouth are refusing to budge on their £45million asking price. Liverpool's hopes of an immediate agreement have been put on hold, with sporting director Richard Hughes scrambling to sort out a number of 'unresolved issues', according to the i Paper.

The saga is expected to drag on until at least next week, and possibly longer, with Liverpool being asked to fork out a hefty sum.
