The momentum behind Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially requesting a trade from the Bucks has "significantly stalled," leading many NBA insiders to believe he’ll remain in Milwaukee.
As some teams have already been in their offseason for nearly two months, trade speculation has been heating up — including significant chatter about two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially requesting a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks. However, those talks have recently cooled down.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the momentum behind a possible Giannis trade has "significantly stalled."
"The common belief amongst league insiders that he will remain with the only franchise he's ever played for," Fischer revealed on Bleacher Report's NBA Insider Notebook.
"That confidence has been replaced with skepticism. To a man, from talking to agents, team executives, whoever, there is not a lot of belief right now at this juncture."
"It's only June 5th—anything could happen—and I've been told all along that if there is a decision, a formal decision made to shut or open the door on trade conversations for Giannis this summer, that it would likely happen closer to the end of June and when the offseason really, really begins," he added.
Giannis has spent his entire 12-year NBA career with the Bucks so far, and last season was one of his best statistically. He averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game — reaffirming his status as one of the league's top players.
