Real Madrid are all set to secure the signing of River Plate and Argentina wonderkid Franco Mastantuono in the coming days.
An agreement over a €45 million deal has been reached with his club and the player has agreed to sign a six-year contract until 2031.
In fact, Mastantuono is expected to complete his medical and sign his contract with Real Madrid next week.
However, there were doubts about when the 17-year-old gem would arrive, with the expectations being that he will play the FIFA Club World Cup for River Plate before making the move.
Mastantuono to arrive immediately
However, according to journalist Sebastian Srur on Radio Continental, Mastantuono will leave River Plate and join the Real Madrid squad immediately.

The teenage attacking midfielder will start training under Los Blancos manager Xabi Alonso next week and will play for the Spanish capital giants at the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA starting in a week.
Even though Mastantuono is only 17 years old, Real Madrid do not have to wait until August, when he turns 18, to bring him in and register him, as the youngster also has an Italian passport.
So, despite there having been previous concerns about the time of his arrival, it appears that Real Madrid will welcome Mastantuono into the squad immediately and have him ready for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Merengues’ other two signings, Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, are also expected to make their debuts at the tournament in the USA.
What now remains to be seen is whether Real Madrid also close the signing of Alvaro Carreras from SL Benfica in time for the tournament.

From getting caught in controversies to his inconsistent form, his decision to step away from national team duty last year and a couple of arguments in the dressing room, Mbappe has not quite had it his way in recent times.
A shocking revelation
In what comes as a shocking revelation by Romain Molina, Mbappe even considered retiring from the French national team when he was sticking away from international duty last year.

It was in October and November last year that the Real Madrid star did not participate in France’s games despite being the captain and a number of personal and professional reasons were cited to be the reason why.
Clearly, however, this report puts into perspective that the player was going through some serious pressure and fighting internal battles that he was overwhelmed by. His poor form at the time may have been another reason.
Since then, the player has once again rediscovered his form criticism about his performances for the French national team and him being the captain continue to persist.
Mbappe will next be seen in action for his country against Germany on Sunday in the third-place playoff in the UEFA Nations League.
