Thomas Tuchel returns to the dugout as England continue their qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup. The Three Lions travel to Andorra on Saturday in the hopes of extending their lead at the top of Group K before hosting Senegal in a friendly on Tuesday.

Tuchel, 51, is two for two at the helm thus far after beating both Albania and Latvia in his maiden outings as an international coach. England already sit three points clear at the top of their group but could close out the week sat even further ahead if all goes their way.

A return to England materialised for Tuchel last year following a tumultuous time at Bayern Munich. But that was just the latest managerial appointment to turn sour after difficult departures from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, with his family life supposedly suffering as a result.

It was towards the end of his stay at Stamford Bridge that his 13-year marriage came to an end, though he appears to have found new love since. Mirror Football dissects the England boss' past and current flames, along with his net worth as England return to action.

What is Thomas Tuchel's net worth?

From modest beginnings in the Bundesliga with Augsburg and Mainz, Tuchel has gone on to manage some of the biggest clubs in Europe. And while those tenures haven't always gone to plan, the compensation he has received along the way will surely soften the blows of any exits.

Finance Monthly estimated the veteran coach is worth roughly £37million as of this year. However, it's clear he took the England job at least partially out of passion after accepting a significant pay cut.

It's believed Tuchel is on an annual salary of £5m to manage the Three Lions, or around 66% of the £7.5m per year he earned in Munich. Clubs usually tend to pay off coaches when they exit their contracts early, though this isn't believed to be the case for Bayern and Tuchel given he was still being paid by the club after he left and was effectively on gardening leave.

The same can't be said for the end of his time at Chelsea, who forked out a reported £13m to get him off their books in September 2022. Despite winning the Champions League with the Blues less than 18 months prior, his departure from Stamford Bridge was a rather messy one that resulted in his bank balance receiving a healthy boost.

Tuchel also spent two-and-a-half years in charge at the Parc des Princes, where his annual take-home was understood to be £6m. All of these sums are subject to tax and fees in their relevant jurisdictions, but it all amounts to one tactician who isn't struggling for a penny by any means.

Why did Thomas Tuchel get a divorce?

It emerged in April 2022 that after 13 years of marriage, Tuchel and ex-wife Sissi had separated. And it's understood the coach's constant globetrotting played a significant role in their separation as his work took him to France and England.

Sissi was a journalist for German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung when the pair met. They eventually wed in 2009 and had two daughters together, Emma and Kim.

Tuchel previously addressed the challenges of balancing his work and personal life. Speaking after his first pre-season camp at Chelsea in 2021, he told reporters: "It was a long summer, but it did not feel so long because I was in Paris to help my family move the house and finish school for the kids over there."

Less than a year later, however, the frequent flying appeared to have divided the pair irrevocably. A source told the Mail on Sunday in 2022: "Sissi and Thomas have tried to avoid splitting, but in the end, there was no other way.

"It is very sad and now it is all about making sure their daughters are the top priority. Papers were lodged last week to get the divorce under way."

Who is Thomas Tuchel dating?

It wasn't long after the split from his spouse that it emerged Tuchel had a new flame in his life. In fact, it was the very next month in May 2022 that reports first claimed he was seeing Brazilian Natalie Guerreiro Max.

Thirteen years younger than the journeyman tactician, not a lot is known about his current partner. It's understood Max is a parent of two herself, suggesting at least one area in which the pair might have connected.

The Sun snapped images of Thomas and Natalie lapping up the sunshine in Sardinia in July 2022 before he returned to life at Chelsea. It was reported the pair stayed at a lavish £20,000-a-night villa during their stay, and one witness was quoted saying they "held hands at every opportunity and looked really happy."

It stands to reason that business-owner Max being based in London herself may have influenced Tuchel's decision to accept the England job. And he'll hope this stint ends more amicably than his last post in the English capital.
