Rasmus Hojlund’s Old Trafford Future Up in the Air

Inter Milan have increased their interest in Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund. There have been further talks between the clubs. The striker is firmly with Utd until 2028, yet could make a move away after a poor season in England.

The Red Devils purchased him from Atalanta last summer on a deal which cost £64 million and £8 million in add-ons. Since that transfer, the young forward has failed to find his form in the Premier League. He has netted just four goals across 32 appearances.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag’s side Leverkusen is actively hunting for a new attacker this transfer window. So, Utd are now open to letting Hojlund go. But, that will happen only if the right offer lands on the table.

Inter Plans Shift After Champions League Blow

Inter Milan are reshaping their squad following a heavy 5-0 defeat to PSG in the UCL final. They finished last season as the top scorers in Serie A. Although, they missed out on the league title by just a single point to Napoli.

Now, Simone Inzaghi has stepped down and former youth coach Cristian Chivu set to take charge. So, the club is keen to bring in fresh talent. Hojlund is young, hungry, and experienced in Serie A. He is a great option for them.

Meanwhile, Man United are also in talks with Brentford‘s star forward Bryan Mbeumo. A bid of over £60 million reportedly in the works for Mbeumo. If that deal goes through, it could hasten Rasmus Hojlund’s exit from Old Trafford.

Regardless of whether he ends up in Milan or not, it is clear that his time at Old Trafford may come to an end much sooner than everyone expected.
