It is set to be a busy summer transfer window at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest undertake a reshuffle of Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.
The Reds finished seventh in the Premier League in 2024/25 and qualified for the UEFA Conference League. The aim now is to build on that platform and kick on once again.
To do so, changes will be made to the dressing room. The coming weeks and months will see outgoings as well as incomings. Below, NottinghamshireLive takes a look at those players who might already have said their farewells to the club.
Alex Moreno
The full-back was not included in the match squad for the final five Premier League games of the season. The last time he got out on the pitch was the 1-0 defeat to Everton in April.
The Reds have an option to sign him permanently from Aston Villa but for some time the signs have not appeared particularly encouraging on that front. He has been linked with a return to former club Real Betis.
In a social media post last month, Moreno appeared to indicate a return to the City Ground was unlikely. He said: “Mission accomplished. We’ve qualified for the UEFA Conference League.
“I’d like to take this moment to say goodbye to all the fans - a wonderful crowd who always deserve the very best. It’s been a pleasure sharing so many great moments.
“Thank you to my teammates and all the club staff who supported me every single day. I’ll carry a piece of each of you in my heart. Wishing you all the best in Europe! @officialnffc”
Harry Toffolo
Officially out of contract at the end of this month, as yet there has been no indication the left-back is on course for a new deal. As it stands, therefore, he will depart as a free agent this summer.
If it does transpire that Toffolo is to move on, he will leave having firmly established himself as a cult hero at the City Ground. A model professional and a class act, he wrote his name into club folklore with his dramatic clearance off the line against Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks ago.
Willy Boly
Forest hold an option to retain the centre-back’s services for a further 12 months so a decision over his future will be revealed soon. He was linked with a switch to Saudi Arabia not so long ago, so there is certainly a question mark over whether he will still be at the club for next season.
Nuno values the veteran defender’s experience and the influence he has in the dressing room. However, he made just nine appearances during the 2024/25 season so it would not be a surprise if he heads elsewhere.

Wayne Hennessey
The Welshman is coming to the end of the short-term deal he signed in January. It is unlikely he will be offered fresh terms even though he has been a valued member of the goalkeepers’ union Trentside as third-choice between the posts.
Hennessey was offered a coaching job with his country’s Under-21s side earlier this year. There has been no word on whether he is set to take that up. If he is to remain at the City Ground, it would likely be in a similar role.
Jonathan Panzo
Due to become a free agent in a few weeks' time, it appears the defender already has his future sorted. He spent the season just gone on loan at Rio Ave, and reports from Portugal have suggested an agreement is in place for a permanent switch.
Panzo is said to be set to put pen to paper on a one-year deal for the club. It marks the end of a somewhat frustrating spell at Forest for the centre-back. He made just one appearance for the Reds and had a succession of loan spells.
