The summer transfer window is our exciting break before the start of the next season, since the current one is coming to an end.

Additionally, central midfield will be one of Manchester United’s top priorities.

Manchester United began the window prioritising the attack with the first signing being Brazilian star Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C for £62.5 million.

They haven’t stopped there however.

The Red Devils are now in hot pursuit of Cameroon sensation Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford F.C for a fee around £60 million.

A second and improved bid for the Brentford attacker is expected soon as per our CentreDevils exclusive piece yesterday.

However, now it seems that the Red Devils are going to their attention on strengthening the midfield.

One name in the Manchester United squad that could be seeing the exit door is Brazilian star Casemiro.

One clear contributing factor is age.

Unfortunately, the 33-year-old midfielder isn’t getting any younger.

This might be a factor in his declining capacity.

Because of this, United is now searching for a replacement for Casemiro.

However, the Brazilian may be leaving the team to pursue other opportunities as a move to Besiktas is reportedly imminent.

One name who could be seen as a replacement for the Brazilian seems to have confirmed talks with the Red Devils.

According to Sport Witness, Sander Berge, a midfielder for Fulham, acknowledged that before to moving to Craven Cottage, his agent had a conversation with Manchester United.

Last year, the 27-year-old moved from Burnley to Fulham for €23.55 million.

He has made 36 appearances this season in all competitions for Fulham, where he is now a crucial player under Marco Silva.

With his five-year contract at Fulham, he no longer has that, so he feels free to discuss Manchester United’s interest.

The Fulham midfielder stated in a TV2 interview that,

“It’s a bit crazy, but I was at Burnley training and the days went by as usual – even though things were happening behind the scenes.

There were talks (with United), but not directly with me.”

However, things might have turned out quite differently because Manchester United was reportedly interested in him before he left Burnley.
