Brentford delegation fly out for secret transfer meeting – Club expecting next offer soon

A delegation from Brentford has flown to Rotterdam this week to speed up a deal for midfielder Antoni Milambo.

That’s according to 1908.nl, who report that Brentford want to get a deal for the 20-year-old after seeing an opening bid rejected by Feyenoord.

They explain that the midfielder already has a personal agreement in place with Brentford. That was agreed some time ago. Reports on Friday then stated Brentford had made a bid of around €19m plus €3m in bonuses.

That was ‘swept off the table’ by Feyenoord but doesn’t meant the deal is dead. On the contrary, the two sides will continue to negotiate today at a secret location. Brentford, the Milambo camp and Feyenoord all believe that a deal is feasible.

That’s led to Brentford send a delegation for face-to-face talks. Feyenoord are expecting Brentford to make an improved proposal this weekend or shortly thereafter. It will first be informally then formally.

They have money to spend after the sale of Mark Flekken and could also be boosted by selling Bryan Mbeumo, who is being linked with a €70m move to Manchester United.
