After not being shutout once during the month of April, the Brewers offense went scoreless in six contests during the month of May, with each instance occurring in pairs. It has been since May 17 that Milwaukee was last held off the scoreboard, but the Padres pitching staff managed to do it to them again on June 6 as a combination of Randy Vasquez, Wandy Peralta, Jeremiah Estrada, Adrian Morejon, and Robert Suarez gave up just four hits.

Despite the lack of hits, the Brewers drew six walks against the Padres on Friday night, with Isaac Collins having three himself. The offense had chances to score, but went just 1-9 with runners in scoring position. A few key moments that stand out include an inning ending double play in the second inning, Yelich striking out against Peralta with runners on second and third in the fifth inning, and William Contreras striking out with the tying run on third base in the seventh inning.
Chad Patrick put together another excellent outing
For Milwaukee, starter Chad Patrick was excellent yet again. He covered six innings, allowed four hits, struck out six, and allowed just one earned run. The rookie lowered his season ERA to 2.84 as a result.
The Brewers will look to get back on track Saturday against the Padres. Milwaukee is riding a three series winning streak and will need to take the final two games this weekend in order to extend that to four.
