AC Milan will lose Tijjani Reijnders this summer, and it could be in the next few days, with an urgency settling in.
Since Manchester City entered the picture, it has seemed inevitable that Reijnders would leave Milan. However, this is not the issue for many. The player has not tried to push a move, and there is no real pressure to sell.
So, the fact that the Rossoneri have rolled over a little is annoying many. However, the structure of the deal may actually be beneficial for the Diavolo, as we covered in a piece earlier in the week. So, when may the transfer be finished?
Well, according to reports, a medical is planned this weekend, and when asked about the move, Dutch National Team coach Ronald Koeman offered some more information, as Calciomercato.com relays.
“Tijjani Reijnders will undergo a medical at Manchester City this Sunday.”
Why rush?
As is the case with the Theo Hernandez transfer, the Club World Cup window closes on Tuesday, so a deal is being pushed through before then. So, things are moving rather quickly, especially with everything agreed.
So, after Sunday, it could be that the deal is announced in the early part of next week. It certainly is only a matter of time now, provided there are no medical issues.
