Bills Make Two Roster Moves

The Buffalo Bills cycled defensive tackles on Friday. Buffalo released Devin Brandt-Epps, opening room to sign Marcus Harris.

Harris was a seventh-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2023. Harris didn't make the 53-man roster, but he remained on the Texans' practice squad before Houston released him in October.

Harris spent the remainder of the season on the New England Patriots' practice squad, signing a futures deal in January before he was cut in April.

Harris spent five years in college, the first two at Kansas, where he red shirted as a freshman, playing in just two games. In his second season, Harris played in eight games, tallying eight tackles for loss and 27 total tackles.

Harris then transferred to Auburn, where he played three seasons. In his three years at Auburn, Harris played 37 games with 97 tackles, 25 for loss and 11.5 sacks. He had a truly standout campaign in his final year, totaling 40 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and a pass breakup.

Brandt-Epps joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft.

Brandt-Epps spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career at Old Dominion, playing in 31 games with 84 tackles, 11 for loss, and three sacks with four pass breakups.

Brandt-Epps transferred to New Mexico, playing 11 games with 29 tackles and four for loss.

Harris is depth at best for Buffalo, who has a loaded group of defensive tackles. Ed Oliver and Daquan Jones are likely the top two in the depth chart, with Larry Ogunjobi close behind. Buffalo also drafted T.J. Sanders in the second sound of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Beyond those four, the Bills also have DeWayne Carter, fourth-round pick Deone Walker, Zion Logue, and Casey Rogers.
