Report: How much Al-Nassr are ready to bid for Luis Diaz as new Liverpool exit condition emerges

Luis Diaz’s future has been all over the transfer headlines for the last week or so.

Indeed, the Colombia international was already being linked with moves away earlier in the season, but now that Liverpool have rebuffed Barcelona’s first bid, the race for his signature has heated up.

Hansi Flick’s men are the ones who feel the most likely to sign Diaz at the moment, but that hasn’t stopped other clubs from throwing their hat into the ring.

Saudi Arabian outfits have also been rumoured to be interested in the attacker, with Al-Nassr now having a mammoth bid ready to table.

Al-Nassr have a £71.6million bid to table for Luis Diaz should Cristiano Ronaldo leave in the summer

Over the last couple of seasons, Saudi Pro League clubs have been big spenders, with most of them paying extortionate amounts of money to convince European stars to join their ranks.

Players such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Aleksander Mitrovic and Neymar all chose to make their way to Saudi Arabia, and while some have gone on to put out impressive numbers, it hasn’t quite worked out for others.

And now, as per a report from Italian outlet La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Al-Nassr now have a bid worth around €85million (£71.6million) to table for Diaz this summer.

The report adds that a move for the attacker is reliant upon whether Cristiano Ronaldo chooses to exit Al-Nassr upon the expiry of his current contract.

Two players Liverpool could sign to replace Luis Diaz

Liverpool’s stance on Diaz is fairly clear as they don’t want to let him go following his impressive form throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

However, should a bid in excess of £70million come into the picture, a sale is something that the Reds should really consider, especially with the current talent that is available on the market.

Rafael Leao has been surveyed recently by Liverpool, with the Portugal international the perfect player to fill the void left by Diaz’s potential departure.

The Portugal international is just 25 years old, and he still contributed the same number of goals as the Colombia international did last season.

Malick Fofana is another option that Liverpool should consider.

The Olympique Lyon attacker is available for a fee worth around £40million and has been reported to be one of Liverpool’s main targets this season.

Both of these players are natural left wingers like Diaz, but both can be played at the number nine if and when needed.

Of course, only time will tell what the future holds, but if the Anfield outfit receive a strong enough bid for Diaz, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t consider selling him on.
