Steelers Believe Aaron Rodgers' 'Best Field Vision' Can Fix Offense

The Pittsburgh Steelers are elated to have Aaron Rodgers in the house for the 2025 season.

He may turn 42 in December, and his physical assets may be slowing down a bit. But the Steelers are counting on his eyes.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Pittsburgh is hopeful that Rodgers' "best field vision" can assist the offensive line next season.

"They believe that they get the best field vision from a quarterback that they've had since Ben Roethlisberger, that he can solve problems for them at the line of scrimmage," Fowler said. "They haven't really had that. He can get solutions and figure things out with his mind. They believe he still has plus arm strength."

If that's the case, then offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will have to give up some control of the offense to Rodgers, something he took away from Russell Wilson last season.

If a perfect mix of Smith and Rodgers' offense can be found, then this thing might just work.

If he has anything left from his days of winning NFL MVPs, he should still have his football mind. His play recognition and seeing hot routes. Pittsburgh didn't even have hot routes under Kenny Pickett as Pat Freiermuth broke on Roethlisberger's podcast not long ago.

And if anyone has experience, it's Rodgers as he enters his 21st season in the league. The 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro has certainly seen everything.
