Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is ready to axe his long-time agent Ali Dursun in a bid to get his renewal with the club resolved as soon as possible.
De Jong is heading towards the final 12 months of his existing deal and president Joan Laporta has already admitted it’s “urgent” the club resolve his situation.
According to Mundo Deportivo, De Jong has lost confidence in his agent of 15 years and wants to end their relationship.
The Dutchman then hopes he can go on and swiftly negotiate a contract renewal with Barcelona to extend his stay at the club.
Barcelona have already announced contract extensions for Raphinha and Lamine Yamal this summer, and it seems De Jong could be next on the list.
Tying down key players to long-term contracts has been a priority for Barcelona throughout last season, with Jules Kounde also thought to be in line for an extension.
