Newcastle United supporters have sent a clear transfer message on four of the club's longest-serving stars as Eddie Howe looks to freshen his side for the coming season. The Magpies are hoping to make significant additions to their squad in the transfer window, but that could also mean some exits in the coming weeks.
We asked you to asses the entire squad following the end of the 2024-25 campaign, simply selecting 'keep' or 'sell' - and the results make for fascinating reading.
It's not surprise to see plenty of the current squad firmly in the keep pile, with an impressive THIRTEEN players receving more than 90 per cent backing. It's a measure of how strong the first team is that so many are rated so highly, with Sandro Tonali (98.4 per cent) and Alexander Isak (98.2 per cent) leading the way.
The bulk of the side which qualified for the Champions League and won the Caraba Cup have earned strong backing, but there were some notable exceptions.
United are keen on signing a new goalkeeer this summer, with the likes of Burnley's James Trafford linked with a move to Tyneside. It wouldn't be something some Newcastle fans would oppose, it seems, with Nick Pope only supported by 64.2 per cent. That's still almost two-third of course, but others have far bigger concerns.
Club captain Jamaal Lascelles has not played for the first team in more than a year, and only around a third would like to see him stay not next season.
The same goes for former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock, with just 32.5 per cent looking for him to stay on, with Crystal Palace and Fulham reportedly interested in a deal.
Fellow midfielder Sean Longstaff could be on the move this summer, with Everton and Leeds United weighing up a move, and with just 25.1 per cent support, it suggests the fans feel an exit would be best of all parties.
United are in contract talks with Callum Wilson over a potential new deal, but with just 15 per cent of fans swiping 'keep', it seems they have already made their minds up.
