Marcus Rashford trains in Cannes ahead of transfer, Bruno Fernandes and David de Gea show support for Man Utd outcast

Marcus Rashford continues to get support from current and former Manchester United players, despite being considered an outcast at the club ahead of a potential summer transfer.

It’s no secret that Marcus Rashford faces an uncertain future at Manchester United, after leaving the club in January to join Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.

Villa passed on the opportunity to sign Rashford for £40 million at the end of the season, which means Rashford will return to United at the end of the month. Unai Emery’s side may be moving on from the United loanee, though he impressed at Villa Park, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the 17 appearances he made for the club in all competitions.

It is understood that Rashford is dreaming of a switch to Barcelona, but the Spanish club has yet to formalise their interest in the England international.

Rashford has until September 1 to find a new club, or Ruben Amorim will be stuck with a player he deems surplus to requirements.

Marcus Rashford working hard on holiday

For now, like many footballers, Rashford is recharging his batteries on holiday as he recovers from a season that ended with an injury.

Rashford has stepped up his recovery by training during his break from the game, after missing the end of the season due to a setback.

As a result of the injury, Rashford was overlooked by Thomas Tuchel for the latest England squad, but that could do his recovery the world of good.

This is an opportunity for Rashford to show potential suitors that he is focused ahead of the new season.

Only time will tell if Barcelona will make an offer to sign Rashford. The La Liga giants have also been linked with a move for Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
