Kevin Durant is most certainly leaving the Phoenix Suns this summer, but no one is sure where he is going.
Many teams are tied to him via rumors, of course, but nothing is set in stone and certain.
According to John Gambadora, via NBACentral, Durant allegedly told someone that he thinks he is going to the San Antonio Spurs.
“I do know somebody that has been with Kevin Durant recently, and Durant and this person talked about the Spurs — that’s why I mention them. Somebody KD knows and trusts mentioned the Spurs,” Gambadoro said.
Kevin Durant reportedly told someone he trusts that he thinks he’s going to end up with the Spurs, per @Gambo987

This is one of the few teams that has been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Durant.
Firstly, there have been numerous rumors of him playing in Texas, the state where he went to school.
Secondly, the Spurs have the necessary pieces to make a trade happen.
They wouldn’t give up someone as big as Victor Wembanyama, of course, but they could ship away multiple younger up-and-coming stars as well as draft picks.
It would be enough to get the Suns on a stable footing and set them up for the long term.
The Spurs want Durant, so this could definitely happen.
But they aren’t the only team looking to acquire him.
Others, like the Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves, have been talked about as new teams for Durant.
Durant might be the first trade domino to fall this season.
A move might allegedly happen very soon, and other franchises could then respond once they see where he ends up.
Will it be the Spurs or somewhere else?
NBA fans will possibly find out soon.
