Liverpool are now eyeing a summer move to sign Bayern Munich star Kim Min-Jae in a cut-price deal, according to CaughtOffside.
The Reds are set to undergo a major squad overhaul this summer after Arne Slot led the team to the Premier League title during his first season in charge, and have already completed a deal to bring in Jeremie Frimpong to replace the outgoing Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.
But now the club are looking to make further additions in the centre of their defence, with South Korea international Kim now emerging as a target.

Kim, who has been described as 'one of the best defenders in world football', has found regular game time hard to come by in the 2024/25 season under Vincent Kompany, with Dayot Upamecano, Eric Dier and Hiroki Ito competing for a regular place.
But with Dier leaving for Monaco, and Bayern looking to add a new central defender to their ranks, Kim is now eyeing potential opportunities elsewhere and would like to leave for a new challenge.
Liverpool have been alerted to the opportunity of signing the former Napoli star, and have been boosted by the fact that Bayern Munich have reduced their asking price from £42m to just £29.5m in order to get his wages off the books.

Virgil Van Dijk is the current star centre-back at Anfield, with Ibrahima Konate considered to be his partner to make up the first-choice defence. But the Frenchman's contract situation has alerted the interest of several other club's across Europe, putting his future in doubt.
Joe Gomez and Jarrell Quansah have also been linked with moves away from Liverpool, meaning a new centre-back is likely to be a priority for Slot.
As well as a move for Frimpong and a centre-back, Liverpool are said to be edging closer to a move for Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez to strengthen their left-back position, while the club are also closing in on a club-record deal to sign Germany playmaker Florian Wirtz.
