Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva is “one to watch for the summer transfer window,” according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
Wolves looked set for another relegation battle in the opening half of last season, the club struggling to ascend beyond the bottom three under Gary O’Neil before the former Bournemouth boss was sacked in December. In his place, Wolves hired Vitor Pereira who performed admirably to steer the club away from relegation.
The club are now looking to the summer window, which presumably, will be a window of investment. Wolves have sold star player Matheus Cunha to Manchester United and it appears that left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is bound for Manchester City.
Before dealing with any incomings, however, it appears that Wolves may have to navigate one further departure.
Silva On The Move?
Striker into the final year of his deal
Fabio Silva
According to Plettenberg, striker Fabio Silva is a player to keep an eye on in the transfer window. The Portuguese signed for Wolves from Porto in 2020 for what was a club-record fee of £35.6 million but since then, has struggled to establish himself at Molineux. Silva, who was just 18 upon his Premier League move, has had four loan moves in the last three years.

Silva’s form with Las Palmas, despite the club’s relegation, has attracted suitors, as has the fact that the forward is entering the final year of his deal. Plettenberg has reported that multiple Bundesliga clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, are monitoring the forward, who is still just 22 years old and has shown, gradually, that he is developing as a player.
Wolves would, reportedly, want anywhere between £16 million and £21 million for Silva, which would represent a solid fee for a player that has scarcely featured for them since 2022. Should Silva, who has been dubbed a "sensation," be sold, it would only offer Wolves more funds as they look to build a team that can avoid the drop under Pereira’s management.
