Newcastle United are considering making a move for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz this summer, according to NUFC Blog.
The 2024/25 campaign will be forever remembered by Newcastle fans, who watched their club lift the Carabao Cup after beating Liverpool in the final, their first major English trophy in seven decades. Already a stellar campaign for that alone, it was only made better when, on the last day of the Premier League season, they confirmed Champions League football.
A place in Europe’s most-prestigious competition for the second time in three years is a testament to the stellar work that Eddie Howe has done as manager of the Magpies. It is no surprise that Newcastle have an eye on potential incomings ahead of the new campaign, the club having been linked with a move for a new striker.
Newcastle, of course, have the mercurial Alexander Isak as a starting striker but back-up Callum Wilson, despite being in talks over a new deal, has struggled for fitness in recent years and as such, struggled for form. It would seem that, regardless of Wilson’s future, the Magpies want to bolster their attacking ranks.

Rodrigo Muniz celebrating after scoring for Fulham
According to NUFC Blog, Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is a player that Newcastle are considering making a bid for this summer. A Fulham player since 2022, Muniz has been part of their first team since 2023. Despite a failed loan stint at Middlesbrough in the season prior, Muniz enjoyed a breakout year across the 2023/24 campaign.

Muniz, who has been called a "quality striker," has remained part of Marco Silva’s first-team, though started just eight matches last season, sparking rumours about a potential departure. At Newcastle, while Muniz would still be a back-up player, their inclusion in the Champions League means the Brazilian would have plenty of opportunities to play for the Magpies.
Though Fulham would not let Muniz leave cheaply, NUFC Blog have reported that the forward is approaching the final year of his contract, offering Newcastle the chance to secure what would be a strong addition to their squad.
