A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona looks increasingly likely to be on the move this summer.
That’s according to **[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250607/1002479006/arabia-esta-dispuesta-llevarse-christensen.html)**, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen has for his part endured an altogether difficult term in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
Owing to a pair of long-term injury problems, the Dane, in fact, took to the pitch in a competitive setting on just six occasions.
Recent weeks saw Christensen play a more notable role, with the former Chelsea man’s solid form despite his lack of match sharpness having proven hugely encouraging from a Barcelona standpoint.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to learn that, as things stand, Christensen looks near certain to be on the move over the weeks ahead.
As per a report from MD:
‘Andreas Christensen, whose contract with Barça expires in 2026, is highly likely to leave the club this summer. With the central defender and pivot quotas filled – the two positions Christensen can play in –
Barça would be very happy to let the Dane go.’
The lead interest in Christensen’s services comes by way of the Saudi Pro League, where a number of clubs are understood to be keeping a close eye on the 29-year-old’s situation.
