The Toronto Raptors are looking to make some roster improvements in the summer, but how high will they aim?
Will they try to improve in minor ways or make a big swing for an A-list superstar?
According to Jake Fischer, per NBACentral, the Raptors are a potential landing spot for Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.
“Toronto has likewise been painted by numerous NBA figures as a potential trade suitor for Durant … particularly if Antetokounmpo doesn’t reach the open market. The Raptors, furthermore, would figure to have a more realistic shot at assembling a competitive trade offer for Durant compared to the mammoth offers that the Bucks would inevitably seek for Antetokounmpo’s services,” per Fischer.

It sounds like the Raptors are waiting to see what happens with Giannis Antetokounmpo before they make an attempt to get Durant.
Of course, all teams are curious about Antetokounmpo because he would be one of the biggest trades in recent NBA history.
If he stays in Milwaukee, the Raptors could take a serious run at getting Durant.
They have a lot of assets they can give up, and the Suns may listen to them.
The Suns are really going to try to get all they can for Durant.
In a perfect world, they’d receive some win-now talent and also draft picks.
Over the last few years, they have completely emptied all of their assets in order to make their failed big three of Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, so they are looking to gain what they have lost.
The Raptors are currently closely watching the market, waiting for big news, and then they will act.
Will they walk away with an All-Star?
