Jayson Tatum Makes Major Personal Announcement After Heartbreaking Injury

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics were looking like a legitimate contender to win their second straight NBA championship. However, they struggled in their second-round playoff series against the New York Knicks.

In Game 4 of the series with the Celtics trailing the series 2-1, disaster struck Tatum. He went down with a torn Achilles, ending his season and potentially next season as well.

Throughout the four games of the series, Tatum was averaging 25 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and a block per game. With him on the court, Boston still had a legitimate chance to come back and win the series.

Unfortunately, the injury occurred and Tatum quickly underwent surgery to fix his Achilles. He's now in the process of working his way back.

On Saturday afternoon, Tatum took to social media to share a major personal announcement as he recovers from the injury.

"Day 25… days starting to get a little easier," he wrote on X.

This is great news for the Celtics. Tatum seems to be finding his stride in his recovery process almost one month in.

"Back better than ever my Duke brother in christ," one fan wrote.

Another fan chimed in, "My GOAT has spoken."

"All of Boston believes in you," a third comment read.

A fourth fan said, "Big Deuce! Can’t wait til you’re back champ."

"The comeback will be LEGENDARY!" another fan commented.

Tatum has now provided a positive update about himself. Fans can only hope that the recovery continues going smoothly and that he doesn't suffer any setbacks along the way.
