Bukayo Saka
According to the Express, Arsenal face some uncertainty regarding the fitness of star player Bukayo Saka.
The winger who has grown in influence for both club and country is one of the best players in his position. His lengthy absence is a major reason why the Gunners finished last season without any major silverware.
According to new England boss Thomas Tuchel, this is the current condition of the 23-year-old:
“He came into camp with a little bit of discomfort from the last match against Southampton, so we took care of him and treated him individually until today basically.
It was the first training session that he started and finished with the group. Yesterday, he started with the group but did not finish with the group, so let’s see.”
Tuchel also went to add further information regarding the player’s regarding the English team’s upcoming match:
“I’m not sure if we take the risk for tomorrow’s game. The decision has not been taken, but he will be available for the Senegal match, and he plays a major role in our thoughts how to build a competitive team.”
Arsenal Fever View:
The way Saka began last season and his form up until his injury was further proof how much the winger had developed. His game seemed more rounded and dangerous, and it was clear that he had unlocked a new level to his game.
After the hamstring injury suffered by the England international, it was clear just how influential he is to the north Londoners. There was a real lack of creativity in his absence and that saw the challenge for the Premier League fade away.
It is better for the club and the player that he is rested and not rushed into action. Tuchel has more than enough options in his squad to get the results needed. The former Chelsea boss is set to usher in an exciting era for the national team and the Gunners forward is sure to be at the heart of it.
Saka has been getting better and better with each passing season and the upcoming campaign could prove to be a watershed one for both club and player. For that to happen, he needs to stay healthy and free of injuries.
