Over the years, a number of players have come and gone from Manchester United’s ranks; some have achieved the success that was once anticipated of them, while others have faded into journeyman jobs throughout the football hierarchy.
Many become bit-part characters, but a few, like Scott McTominay at Napoli, rapidly become household names.
From temporary solutions to high-profile acquisitions, United’s team underwent continuous change as it sought identity, continuity, and balance.
One example is Marcos Rojo.
After joining Manchester United in 2014, Marcos Rojo made 122 appearances and scored two goals during his time there until 2021.
With the team, he took home four trophies: the Community Shield, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the UEFA Europa League.
Because of his versatility, Rojo was able to play both left-back and central defence, which complemented Louis van Gaal’s 3-5-2 style.
In total, Marcos made 122 appearances for United, scoring two goals.
He finished his trip from Manchester United by relocating permanently to Boca Juniors in February 2021.
He’s been at Boca Juniors since he left the Red Devils.
However, he’s now poised to a move away.

According to TNT sports, Inter Miami has Marcos Rojo in the pipeline.
Boca Juniors manager Miguel Ángel Russo knows Rojo well and as far as was known he was going to take him into account for the centre-back role.
With his contract set to expire at the end of 2025, Rojo is rumored to be eyeing a fresh challenge.
Rojo would rejoin with both Messi and the team’s current manager, Javier Mascherano, if he moves to Miami.
Between 2011 and 2018, the two played together in 53 matches as Argentina’s international teammates, while Rojo and Messi shared the pitch in 45 of those matches.
A move to Inter Miami could be one that could help elevate the former Manchester United man’s career.
