Rangers look set to be incredibly active in the transfer window now that Russell Martin has been confirmed as manager.

Martin will reportedly be backed by a £20million transfer war chest as Rangers prepare to challenge Celtic’s stranglehold on the Scottish Premiership.

Several players have already been linked with a transfer to Ibrox, while a handful look set to seal a move away from Glasgow.

Here, Ibrox News presents a round-up of the latest transfer news coming out of Ibrox.

Conor Coady linked with Rangers signing

Martin reportedly wants to make Leicester City defender Conor Coady his first signing at Ibrox.

Sporting director Kevin Thelwell was at Everton at the same time as Coady and is also a huge fan of the centre-half.

Rangers are unlikely to be able to match Coady’s Leicester wages, but are willing to offer the 32-year-old a lengthy contract.

Coady has 10 England caps and would bring a mountain of experience to the Rangers backline.

Ross McCausland to head to MLS?

Ross McCausland is facing an uncertain future at Rangers.

He fell out of favour with both Philippe Clement and Barry Ferguson last season and is rumoured to be seeking a move to Major League Soccer. FC Cincinnati are supposedly interested in signing him.

The 22-year-old Northern Ireland international only registered 20 appearances for Rangers last season.

Cyriel Dessers looking set to seal Ibrox exit

Cyriel Dessers is another player seemingly heading for the exit door at Rangers. The striker scored 29 goals this season, but many fans believe he should be more prolific.

Both AEK Athens and Olympiacos are interested in signing the striker, and the Nigerian even confirmed that in a recent press conference.

Scottish journalist Michael Gannon believes a move away from Ibrox for Dessers is now in the pipeline amid his recent comments.

Oliver Goodbrand set for Newcastle medical

Youth sensation Oliver Goodbrand looks to be on his way out of Rangers, too, having booked a medical with Newcastle United.

The 16-year-old broke into Rangers B team this season, but it looks like he won’t be around long enough to make a senior appearance.
