One of the biggest issues that Manchester United faced this season was the lack of goals from their strikers.
Rasmus Hojlund was the player tasked with leading the line for much of the season but the Dane struggled to impress.

Hojlund’s time at Man Utd since his move from Atalanta has been very poor. The young striker has struggled to regularly score goals and there is a feeling that he made the move to Old Trafford much before he was actually ready.
Hojlund’s time at Old Trafford could now be coming to a premature end. Italian giants Inter Milan are interested in signing the him and could make a move this summer. As per Gazzetta via Sport Witness, Hojlund has approved an exit from the English club.
The 22-year-old is willing to return to Italy, a place where he has had a good time in the past. Inter have earmarked him as the preferred choice to reinforce their attack and they are set to have a new manager with Simone Inzaghi leaving.
Manchester United signed Hojlund a couple of seasons ago for quite a significant fee, but Inter Milan could wrap up his signing for around £38m-£42m. That isn’t necessarily a good deal for the English club but it is a loss that they will have to take.
Hojlund at Man Utd was a flop signing
The 22-year-old striker has played 52 games across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists. These numbers are necessarily bad but they aren’t enough to play for a club of Man Utd’s stature and history.
Hojlund has a contract with the club until 2028 with an option to extend it until 2029. However, considering Man Utd are set to go through a complete revamp, moving on the Dane could help them sign a more prolific striker.
Man Utd’s transfer business in recent seasons have left a lot to be desired and Hojlund is yet another name in a long list of bad transfers.
However, he has a lot of potential and a move to Inter Milan could do him the world of good. Let’s wait and see how things play out going forward.
