Pacman Jones arrested for assaulting police officer

Former NFL All-Pro Pacman Jones is once again in trouble with the law.

Jones was arrested Friday night in Northern Kentucky, according to WHIO. The former Cincinnati Bengal is facing numerous charges, including assault of an officer, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Public records indicate that Jones was booked into the Kenton County Jail early Saturday. Mark Puleo of The Athletic reported that Jones has been released on $10,000 bond and has a scheduled court date on Monday.

On Friday, prior to his arrest, Jones posted a video to his X account criticizing Aaron Rodgers’ decision to join the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jones has had plenty of legal trouble before. In 2023, he was arrested for disorderly conduct over an incident on an airplane, and was later banned from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport over the incident. He also had extensive legal early problems early in his playing career.

Despite his off-field issues, Jones carved out a successful NFL career. He is best remembered for his eight-year stint with the Bengals, where he received first-team All-Pro honors in 2014.

Earlier this year, Jones made a rather bold claim about the drug tests he took during his NFL career.
