Christensen emerges as transfer target for Al-Nassr

Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

According to Diario Sport, the Saudi side are willing to double Christensen’s wages if he agrees to move from Barcelona.

The defender is valued by Barcelona as a quality member of the squad, but there’s no doubt he would be allowed to leave if a decent offer arrived due to the club’s financial issues.

All of which means the decision is likely to come down to Christensen. The Dane said last season [he wasn’t interested in leaving](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/11/29/24308705/andreas-christensen-responds-to-talk-hes-on-his-way-out-of-barcelona), but it remains to be seen if his stance has changed.

Christensen missed most of last season through injury but did return towards the end of the campaign and put in some strong performances.

He had appeared surplus to requirements when Barcelona were being linked with a move for Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen, but that moved collapsed which may be good news for Christensen.

If he does stay, then he will be hoping he can stay fit and enjoy some regular minutes at Barcelona next season as he heads into the final year of his existing contract.
