A new spectacular behind-the-scenes video shows the finishing touches being made to Everton’s future home Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the Blues moving in for the 2025/26 season. After 133 years at Goodison Park – which will now become the base for Everton’s women’s team – David Moyes’ men played the final Premier League fixture at the first purpose-built football ground in England and venue for the most top flight matches with a 2-0 win over Southampton on May 18.
The three-and-a-half minute video, which has been put out by Everton’s account on X (formerly Twitter) shows work continuing on the Everton Way, with messages on individual stones that supporters have paid for being supplemented by tributes to Blues greats plus an historic timeline that charts major events such as the winning of honours and this year’s move from Goodison Park. A caption on the states Everton Way will be completed later this summer ahead of the stadium’s official opening.
Another update says that work is on schedule to fit out a multitude of bars, restaurants and experiences at the 52,888 capacity Mersey waterfront venue at Bramley-Moore Dock. It is also stated that premium spaces are taking shape with the highest quality floorings and soft furnishings already installed.
Here is a selection of stills from the video showing what Evertonians have got to look forward to from August onwards...
