Wolves are set to announce their second player sale of the summer, with Rayan Ait-Nouri on the verge of joining Manchester City.
A breakthrough was made earlier this week, with Ait-Nouri having completed his Manchester City medical on Saturday.
It is thought the star left the Algeria camp to finalise his move.
Wolves have already sold Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, and there was always a reasonable chance that Rayan Ait-Nouri could go too.
He’s been at Wolves for several years and the feeling was that Ait-Nouri was perhaps at his highest value.
But some Wolves fans are not happy with Ait-Nouri’s sale to Manchester City, with some feeling he is going far too cheap.
Last night, journalist Liam Keen shared the final fee that Ait-Nouri is transferring for – and there has also been a development regarding the sell-on clause that Angers have.

Ait-Nouri is reported to be completing a move to Manchester City for an initial £33.7 million, rising to £36 million.

That, some feel, is very cheap, considering Ait-Nouri’s brilliant performances for Wolves down the years and his potential to become one of the top full-backs in the game.
Some have also wondered about that 50% sell-on clause that has been hanging over Ait-Nouri since he moved from Angers.
According to Liam Keen, Wolves have actually paid the £9.5 million required to remove Ait-Nouri’s clause.
So taking that away from the £36 million, Wolves are actually only really getting £26.5 million for Ait-Nouri.
Poor work from Wolves over Ait-Nouri transfer
Unless Wolves will be getting a player on the cheap in return from City later in the window, this is shocking business from Wolves.
Ait-Nouri has been brilliant for Wanderers over the last few years, and stands to become a world-class player in his position.
To only be getting £36 million for him in total is just feeble, and made even worse by the fact the club have had to pay almost £10 million to remove the 50% sell-on clause before he’s even gone anywhere.
Many also felt Wolves were a soft touch when it came to Matheus Cunha as well, with the £62.5 million clause not really reflecting his true market value.
Wolves are undergoing a restructure at the moment, but these two sales are not a good start to the summer.
One gets the feeling that other clubs would easily have offloaded Cunha and Ait-Nouri for over £100 million combined.
