Jordan Pickford has become one of Everton’s best players since he move from Sunderland in 2017.
England’s number one has been a mainstay in the starting XI, and his performances have been critical in keeping the Toffees in the top-flight.
Pickford received constant praise for his displays in the 2024/25 campaign. The 31-year-old picked up 12 clean sheets, only one behind Golden Glove winner David Raya.
However, Pickford’s future at Everton is uncertain, and now Manchester United have been linked with the goalkeeper.

Andre Onana has proved to be unreliable in between the sticks, with the Cameroon international making numerous mistakes.
As a result, the Red Devils have been linked with Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez, but now Ruben Amorim’s side have been told to sign Pickford.

Pickford has been outstanding since his move to Everton
Journalist Jack Flintham told the Manchester Evening News (7 June) that Man United could be able to negotiate a “cheaper deal” for Pickford compared to Martinez.
This is because the England number one only has two years left on his contract.
Flintham has questioned if United could test Pickford’s resolve after showing so much loyalty to David Moyes’ side.
However, a deal for the 31-year-old could be difficult given Everton’s upcoming move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the goalkeeper likely to be keen to play at the Toffees’ new ground.

Everton need to sort out a new contract for Pickford
Until Everton tie down Pickford to a new deal, the goalkeeper is going to be linked away from the Merseyside club more and more.
This is simply unacceptable, considering how important the 31-year-old is to the team.
Moyes must look to offer Pickford a new deal at Everton over the coming months to dispel any rumours surrounding the goalkeeper.
A new contract would also be a big statement of intent from the Toffees as it would show the rest of the Premier League that they are aiming to push up the table next season.
