Nottingham Forest are going to be in search of some marquee additions to the squad this summer, with Nuno Espirito Santo set to try and bolster his squad.
It’s going to be a busy summer at the City Ground with Forest qualifying for Europe for the first time in 30 years last season.
With that in mind, Espirito Santo now needs a bigger squad for the UEFA Conference League campaign, and new recruits will certainly be sought by the club.
Forest need to make sure that the key players from last season’s squad remain on Trentside. Anthony Elanga is wanted by Newcastle, but the hope will be that he will stay beyond this summer.
A stellar signing or two could be on the cards during this window. Forest want Matheus Nunes from Manchester City, and it will be intriguing to see what business the Reds can do this summer.

Nottingham Forest-linked Douglas Luiz will leave Juventus this summer
According to TuttoSport, time is up for Luiz at Juventus and according to the report, the ball is now rolling on a departure from the Old Lady, with the Premier League a likely destination.
Luiz has never really held down a spot in the team with Juventus, and they’re keen to cash in. Edu, now overseeing some recruitment at Forest, has an admirer in Edu, with the Brazilian trying to take him to Arsenal before.
Arsenal had two bids for Luiz rejected in 2022 when Edu was in place as the Sporting Director and now, it would appear he wants to make it a case of third time lucky at Forest.

The Reds could go on the hunt for a new midfielder this summer. Danilo is linked with Lyon and Nicolas Dominguez has an injury that might keep him out of the start of the new campaign.
Luiz could be game-changing signing for Forest
During the 2023/24 campaign, Luiz was instrumental in the Aston Villa team as they reached the Champions League with a top-four finish in the Premier League.
With PSR hanging over a number of clubs, however, Villa chose to cash in on Luiz, selling him to Juventus for a fee of £43 million, much to the dismay of Unai Emery and the club’s supporters.
Things haven’t really worked out for him at Juve, though and now they’re keen to offload him this summer and concede that they might have to make a loss on what they paid to sign him.
Forest will want to make sure the 2024/25 campaign isn’t a flash in the pan and signing somebody with the experience that Luiz has can only bode well as the Reds look to further establish.
