Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has admitted he "expects" to stay at Old Trafford amid ongoing interest from Inter Milan.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Wednesday, Inter are considering a swoop for the Danish international in this summer's transfer window to beef up their attacking options ahead of next season.

Inter plan to rebuild their squad this summer after falling short in the Serie A title race and losing 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in last weekend's Champions League final.

Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the 22-year-old, who joined United from Atalanta almost two years ago, could be "the subject of investigation and possible negotiations" this summer.

However, Hojlund, who scored ten goals for United this season, is concentrated on trying to make a name for himself at Old Trafford, pointing out the fact he still has several years left on his current deal.

"I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United," Hojlund told Danish publication Bold. "I'm looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I'm fully dedicated to the project that's underway.

"I know I can't get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030.

"I expect to play there, so I'm just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season."

Despite the Dane suggesting he has another five years still to run on his current contract, he signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford in August 2023, meaning his current deal is due to expire in June 2028, with the option of a further year to potentially take him through to the summer of 2029.

Since joining United, Hojlund, who started Denmark's 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday, has made 95 appearances, scoring 26 goals.
