Kieran Tierney and his Scotland players felt the heat of the Hampden crowd on Friday evening.
Even though the Celtic hero was playing a friendly encounter against Iceland, the players were booed off after the full-time whistle, and it has become a common theme under Steve Clarke.
After Scotland’s relegation in the UEFA Nations League last time out, things just continue to get worse for the Tartan Army, as the results are as tiresome as the performances.
Tierney started the game against Iceland, playing in a back five, and he was subbed off just after an hour for Celtic transfer target Lennon Miller.
As of this moment, Tierney is still an Arsenal player, but he will officially become a Celtic player next month when his contract at the Emirates expires.
But this is what the Scottish media said about the left-back, before he makes a return to his boyhood club.

Aside from John Souttar equalising after 25 minutes, for the most part, it was a nightmare performance from Scotland, and Tierney took his fair share of hits.
The Scotsman rated Tierney’s performance a five out of ten, as he won his 50th cap for his country, after making his debut against Denmark in 2016.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
‘Won his 50th cap. Did well with a looping cross that almost presented Johnston with a first international goal, but looked a little rusty by his usual high standards,’ wrote the Scotsman.
Edinburgh News noted the ‘rusty’ nature to Tierney’s game, as he was rated 6/10.
‘Latest player to enter the Scotland Hall of Fame as he earned his 50th cap. Always looking to step out with the ball and played a couple of excellent raking passes in behind the Icelandic defence. Looked a tad rusty at times, but solid enough. Subbed,’ wrote Edinburgh News.
TheNational also rated Tierney’s display a six, and also explained how the Celtic Park faithful will be ‘pleased’ that he wasn’t injured ahead of his return.
‘Defender registered his 50th cap, taking up a familiar role on the left side of a traditional back three. Had the license to maraud forward, linking up with skipper Andy Robertson. Celtic supporters will have been pleased to see the full-back come through unscathed as he prepares to make an emotional return to Parkhead this summer,’ wrote the National.
Tierney to link up with Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou?
As many would have seen, Ange Postecoglou has been sacked by Tottenham, despite winning the Europa League last month.
And now a Scottish pundit has called for Postecoglou to manage Scotland, as Ewen Cameron gets sick of Clarke’s tactics, as he shared on social media.
It’s highly unlikely that Postecoglou takes the Scotland gig because, first of all, the powers that be at Hampden have to boot him out.
But if it were to happen, then two Celtic heros would get to work with one another after missing the chance to do so at Parkhead.
