Manchester United only have two days remaining to get any transfer business done before the Premier League window is put on pause.
Due to the new Club World Cup format, Premier League clubs voted to change the transfer dates this summer, meaning the window will be paused on Tuesday, June 10th.
The window will only open up again on June 16th, meaning clubs have a chance to reassess their transfer plans.
Manchester United have already signed Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million, and Ineos quickly moved on to Bryan Mbeumo as their next target.
Mbeumo wants to join United and Ineos have already submitted one bid for the Brentford star, but the deal looks unlikely to happen before the window is put on pause.

Tottenham could pose £60m Bryan Mbeumo threat
Tottenham have already got one over United by winning the Europa League final in Bilbao, but it wasn’t enough to keep Ange Postecoglou in a job.
Now Spurs are looking for a new manager and Brentford boss Thomas Frank is a leading contender. Unfortunately for United, Frank wants Tottenham to sign Mbeumo if he replaces Postecoglou in North London.

Given that Frank and Mbeumo have built a great relationship at Brentford, Ineos will be worried about the 25-year-old’s head being turned over the transfer window break.
Mbeumo is valued at £60m, and while United are working their way up to Brentford’s valuation through their bids, Tottenham could threaten to hijack the move if they match that valuation immediately.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reassured fans that Mbeumo “wants to play at Old Trafford” next season, but crazier things have happened in the transfer window.
Ineos want to get Bryan Mbeumo deal done quickly
After the disappointment of the 2024/25 campaign, Ineos have wasted no time getting stuck into the transfer window.
Cunha arrived on the very first day of the summer window, and United are already accelerating their interest in other targets – such as Mbeumo.
Ruben Amorim has set strict pre-season deadlines for his players, and ideally the Portuguese head coach will want new signings to arrive early so they can join the pre-season training sessions.

While it looks unlikely that the Mbeumo deal will be done before the June 10th cut-off date, Ineos will certainly want the deal done well before United’s first summer pre-season clash against Leeds on July 19th.
Mbeumo’s wages have already been decided, while an ideal shirt number for Mbeumo at United has also been figured out. The only hurdle remaining is for Ineos to agree a fee with Brentford. Hopefully that happens before Tottenham can swoop.
