Nico Paz is rumoured to make a sensational return to Real Madrid despite interest from Inter Milan. However, Manchester United are also believed to have entered negotiations to bring the Argentina international to Old Trafford.
Real Madrid academy graduate Nico Paz struggled to secure regular game time in the senior team. He managed eight appearances for the club (four in La Liga) before being sold to the Italian side Como. The arrival of Xabi Alonso, replacing Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital, is said to have reopened the doors of the Bernabéu for Paz, as the Spaniard is an admirer of his style and work rate.
Real Madrid attached a €9 million buyback option to his transfer agreement and are rumoured to be considering triggering it as part of Xabi’s project. However, the attacking midfielder reportedly wants assurances of regular playing time from his former club before making a return.

Como coach Cesc Fàbregas, meanwhile, is rumoured to be the next Inter Milan coach, and the European runners-up are reportedly ready to pay up to €35 million for the 20-year-old. While Inter’s interest in Paz was confirmed, later reports suggested that Real Madrid was the only club Como was actively in talks with regarding the Argentine. These discussions reportedly slowed down after the confirmed pursuit of Franco Mastantuono.
Ruben Amorim-managed Manchester United are also looking to land Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford after successfully bidding for Wolverhampton's Matheus Cunha. Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyökeres is also linked with the Red Devils, and signing Paz could further strengthen the side's attacking credentials. However, there has been no information on the sum United are willing to spend on him.
Nico Paz started as a defender in the Madrid academy, later operated on the wings, and eventually settled in midfield.
