Manchester United are set for a busy transfer window after a disastrous 2024-25 season.
They have already kicked off their summer rebuild by landing Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha and Brentford’s electric winger Bryan Mbeumo could be the next to walk through the doors at Carrington.
The Red Devils are also keen to offload Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
United head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly informed Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club.
Chelsea were heavily interested in signing Garnacho last January and were touted as one of his likely destinations.
Reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Chelsea are set to table a second offer for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
A mammoth seven-year deal is ready for the 20-year-old.
Alejandro Garnacho faces an uncertain future
Garnacho stirred controversy by publicly venting his frustration at Amorim after being handed a late cameo in the UEFA Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
The United manager reacted by dropping him for the final game of the season against Aston Villa.
Despite a dysfunctional attack, Garnacho produced solid numbers, registering 11 goals and 10 assists in the 2024–25 campaign.
He is still a raw talent who must work hard on his finishing.
His decision-making in the final third also left his teammates frustrated several times.
Chelsea are unlikely to splash out on two left-wingers in the same window.
Sporting Lisbon’s young sensation Geovany Quenda will also move to Stamford Bridge next summer and is tipped to fill one of the wide roles.
If Chelsea cool their interest in Garnacho, United will have to find other suitors to offload the forward.
Bayer Leverkusen, now led by Erik ten Hag, have reportedly also joined the race to sign Garnacho.
